Statement of faith

What We Believe

This statement of faith is not exhaustive, but it reflects the core biblical convictions that guide Equip the Next. It outlines what we hold to, teach from, and operate within as a Christ-centered discipleship ministry.

Our aim is clarity—not controversy—and faithfulness to Scripture above preference or trend. We share this so you have a clear understanding of who we are, what shapes our teaching, and how we approach the Word of God.

By God's Grace

The gospel from Genesis to Revelation...

The gospel begins with the truth that all humanity has sinned and fallen short of God’s holiness. Because of sin, separation from God entered the world, and Scripture tells us that the consequence of sin is death.

But God, in His mercy, made a way.

Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man—lived a sinless life and willingly took upon Himself the penalty for sin. Through His death and resurrection, forgiveness and new life are offered to all who place their faith in Him. This is the good news: that salvation is not earned, but received by grace through faith in Christ alone. (Genesis 3; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:21)

We Believe In The: Inspired Word of God: According to 2 Timothy 3:6:16-17 the words of Scripture are “God breathed” or inspired. This implies that God is our source according to scripture and inspired 40 men to write the word of God. God, used human authors to write what He revealed in the Bible through the Holy Spirit.

John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

We Believe In: Our God is one, but manifested in three Persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

We Believe: Man was created in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. Jesus Christ, the Son of God (God in the flesh), was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. Jesus will return, one day, to gather His people unto Himself. Romans 5:14; 1 John 3:8.

We Believe: Salvation is the gift of God to human mankind, and cannot be earned by deeds or earned through works. Romans 10:9-10: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:36: The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

We Believe In The: Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Baptism in water. Immersion in water, is for believers, and is a symbol of burial with our Lord, and His death, and when we raise out of the water it’s a symbol of His resurrection. Romans 6:3-7

We Believe In The: The birth of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit and his birth by the virgin Mary, according to Matthew 1:18-23, and Luke 1:27, 34

Which confirms that Jesus is fully God and fully man at the same time.

We Believe In The: Risen Christ. His baptism, death, and His resurrection. Romans 6:5-9 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

We Believe In: Eternal Life & New Birth: The bible reads in 2 Corinthians 5:8 — But we are confident, and have a good will to be absent rather from the body, and to be present with the Lord.  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We Believe: That Yes, we live in the world, but we are not of the world (John 15:19), and should rather be an example in this world. Though we might not get it right at times, we should do our best to be the Salt and the Light on the earth. Matthew 5:13-16

We Believe: That just like Heaven is a real place, so is Hell! And those who choose to not accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, should they physically die without accepting Him will be cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone! They will be totally separated from God forever. Revelation 19:20

The Lord doesn’t want that! He longs to have a relationship with you, if only you’ll allow Him in. If you’re ready to give your life to Christ, and ready to allow Him in your life, simply repent, and invite Him in Today! Also, if you need prayer, click here to fill out our Prayer Request Form.

How to Share the Good News

Don't worry about the How, focus on the When

Many believers feel unsure when it comes to sharing the gospel — not out of shame, but because they’re uncertain where to begin. Scripture reminds us that each person is uniquely shaped, and the way God leads one may look different from another. Rather than forcing a method, we’re invited to walk in wisdom and discernment, trusting the Holy Spirit to guide our words and our timing. As we remain attentive to His leading — not fear or pressure — He directs us toward who to speak with, and when. Here are a few thoughtful approaches, shaped with different personalities in mind.

Here are a few gentle ways this might look for you: writing a note or card to someone on your heart, inviting a trusted friend to lunch or coffee, or simply checking in with someone God keeps bringing to mind.

It doesn’t need to be big or public. Faithfulness often happens quietly, and the Lord sees what’s done in love.

If you’re naturally more outward, sharing may come through conversation, testimony, or serving alongside others. This could look like talking about your faith in community settings, getting involved in your local church, or using your voice and presence to encourage others toward Christ.

Just remember — boldness doesn’t have to mean forceful. Let the Lord set the pace.

You may find yourself somewhere in between — comfortable in conversation, but also thoughtful and reserved. Pay attention to what feels most natural in each season.

This might look like sharing in small groups, meaningful one-on-one conversations, or creating space for spiritual dialogue over time. Trust God’s timing, and don’t rush what He’s already guiding.
